Village House Tokyo is two different products. Four towers with elevators sit in the bay wards and Nishitokyo. Three 1960s concrete walk-ups sit in Akishima, Hachioji and Akiruno. Pick by your commute, because the two groups differ more than the rents do.
Height is the number of floors. Tokyo is the one area where the towers are most of the stock.
Shibaura Tower (Minato Ward, completed 1993, 12 floors, 119 units) is 6 minutes on foot from Shibaura-futo Station on the Yurikamome Line and 12 minutes from Tamachi on the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line. Shinagawa Yashio Tower (Shinagawa Ward, 1984, 14 floors, 350 units) is 14 minutes from Shinagawa Seaside on the Rinkai Line, with a bus stop 1 to 3 minutes away. Shiomi Tower (Koto Ward, 1997, 14 floors, 94 units) is 7 minutes from Shiomi Station on the JR Keiyo Line. Mukoudai Tower in Nishitokyo (1973, 11 floors, 400 units) is 19 minutes from Tanashi on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
All four list an elevator and parking. Parking is the big cost in this group: ¥24,750 to ¥28,600 at Shibaura Tower, ¥24,200 at Shiomi Tower, ¥12,650 to ¥13,915 at Shinagawa Yashio Tower and ¥9,900 to ¥13,200 at Mukoudai Tower. In central Tokyo most renters skip the car.
Kobiki in Hachioji (1964, 5 floors) is 7 to 9 minutes from Yamada Station on the Keio Takao Line. Akita in Akiruno (1969, 5 floors, 125 units in five buildings) is 13 to 14 minutes from Higashi-Akiru on the JR Itsukaichi Line. Gouchi in Akishima (1968, 4 floors, 348 units in 11 buildings) is 23 to 26 minutes from Nishi-Tachikawa on the JR Ome Line. None lists an elevator, and Gouchi and Akita list no parking.
These are the cheapest way into Tokyo prefecture, but they are in the western suburbs, not the 23 wards. Check the full door-to-door commute, including transfers, before you compare rent.

Very good: no fees as advertised and cheap gas. Of two rooms seen in the same building, one had old tatami and patchy walls and the one they took was freshly renovated with three air conditioners and a bidet. They hear little from neighbors in a top corner room, the management office answers in their language, and a bus stop 3 minutes away reaches a major station in 15.
Three Tokyo towers stand in the bay wards (Minato, Shinagawa, Koto) and the walk-ups are in the Tama area. Check the municipality’s flood and hazard map for the exact address and floor, as you would for any rental.

Yes, a few. Shibaura Tower is in Minato Ward, Shinagawa Yashio Tower in Shinagawa Ward and Shiomi Tower in Koto Ward. The other four Tokyo buildings are in Nishitokyo, Akishima, Hachioji and Akiruno.
Rent shows only for vacant rooms. On October 5, 2026 the Tokyo directory showed 1 priced rooms, from ¥85,200 to ¥85,200. Open the property page for today’s rent.
