Village House has 12 buildings in Sapporo, spread over seven wards, and one of them is a 14-floor tower. A building called Teine is not in Teine Ward, and station walks run from 4 minutes to over an hour. The winter questions matter as much as the rent: heating, snow clearing and hallways.

Village House Teine is in Miyanosawa in Nishi Ward, 13 to 15 minutes from Miyanosawa Station on the Tozai Subway Line. Tomioka is in Teine Ward, 1 to 4 minutes from Inazumikoen Station on the JR Hakodate Main Line. Fukuzumi in Toyohira Ward is 19 to 21 minutes from Fukuzumi Station on the Toho Subway Line, and Shinkawa in Kita Ward is 36 to 38 minutes from Hassamu Station on the JR Hakodate Main Line, with a bus stop closer.
Sakuradai Tower in Atsubetsu Ward (1985, 14 floors, 312 units, with an elevator) is 20 minutes from Atsubetsu Station and had a 60.78 m² 2LDK at ¥68,900. Higashi-Tsukisamu in Toyohira Ward is 5 minutes from Fukuzumi Station, and Kotoni Dai 2 in Nishi Ward is 12 minutes from Hassamu-Chuo Station. Kawazoe in Minami Ward and Satsunae in Higashi Ward list stations at 56 and 61 minutes on foot.
The compact 1LDK and 2K layouts are 34 to 41 m², the 2LDK and 3DK family sizes 53 to 56 m². Parking is ¥5,500 to ¥12,100 a month.

Nothing was charged at move-in beyond two years of insurance, and there was a campaign. No guarantor, only an emergency contact. Real English and other-language support, everything online including signing, with documents sent in English. Their renovated unit had air conditioning, new walls, a wall-mounted kerosene heater and a system kitchen, plus cheap rent, cheap parking, city gas and a storage unit.
A 1980s-era danchi: “forget about soundproofing”. Neighbors were mostly elderly and a downstairs neighbor complained about showers after 8 pm. Hallways were dirty though the outside is cleaned. Leaving before two years brings a fine they put at two to four months of rent, fiber was not permitted, and in some buildings the bath is in a separate building.
