Registering your address in Yokohama
Yokohama’s page for people arriving from abroad says the notification is taken at the household registry counter (戸籍課登録担当) of the ward office for your new address, and that City Hall and the administrative service corners cannot take it. You have 14 days from the day you start living there, and you cannot file before you arrive. If day 14 falls on a day the ward office is closed, the deadline moves to the next opening day.
